Full extract oil
Ingredients
1/4 ounce - 4 ounce dried botanicals (1/4 - 1/2 ounce per cup of alcohol)**
1-8 Cups 151, 153, or 190 proof grain alcohol**
Directions
1) Decarboxylate Your Botanicals
2) Cover the botanicals with grain alcohol
Pour grain alcohol over decarboxylated and cooled off botanicals.
Close the lid.
3) Start the Butter Brewer
Press the tincture button, and adjust the time/temp as desired. We recommend a 2 hour time for alcohol tinctures rather than the 5 hour preset, as the alcohol will evaporate quicker than glycerin.
Press Start.
4) Complete tincture cycle and strain contents
When the tincture cycle has completed, allow the pot to cool off for about 3-5 minutes, remove the mixing paddle, and then strain the contents through 25 micron straining bag included into a storage container.
Return inner pot to the Butter Brewer
Return the strained tincture back to the inner pot
5) Boil the tincture down to 1/2 cup
Press the DIY button
Adjust time to 30 minutes
Adjust heat to 220 degrees
Press start, but check in periodically as you don’t want to boil the contents down too far.
6) Pour into glass/silicone bowl
When the amount of tincture remaining is about 1/2 cup, carefully remove the inner pot and pour the tincture into a small glass or silicone bowl.
Return the inner pot to the Butter Brewer and place the glass bowl with tincture inside the inner pot.
7) Finish the oil
Press the oil button, and adjust the time as desired.
Press start and heat until desired consistency is reached.
**CAUTION: MATERIALS ARE HIGHLY FLAMABLE. We recommend working in a well ventilated area, preferably outside.
