Grain alcohol Tincture
Ingredients
1/4 ounce - 4 ounce dried botanicals (1/4 - 1/2 ounce per cup of alcohol)**
1-8 Cups 151, 153, or 190 proof grain alcohol**
Directions
1) Decarboxylate Your Botanicals
2) Cover the botanicals with grain alcohol
Pour grain alcohol over decarboxylated and cooled off botanicals.
Close the lid.
3) Start the Butter Brewer
Press the tincture button, and adjust the time/temp as desired. We recommend a 2 hour time for alcohol tinctures rather than the 5 hour preset, as the alcohol will evaporate quicker than glycerin.
Press Start.
4) Complete cycle and strain tincture
When the tincture cycle has completed, allow the pot to cool off for about 3-5 minutes and then strain the contents through 25 micron straining bag included into a storage container.
**CAUTION: MATERIALS ARE HIGHLY FLAMMABLE. We recommend working in a well ventilated area, preferably outside.
